A Beautiful Day in Paradise

Things couldn't really get any better these days in the Birdonnell household. Here's a short list to detail why this is the case:
1.) Pot roast for dinner. For Andrew anyway. Lori doesn't touch meat and cries pitifully whenever he takes a bite. You get used to it. And Landy's not allowed to have meat this week because he kicked his mother square in the ankle last week and made a rude comment about greeting cards. More for Daddy, Landy. More for Daddy.

2.) The boots are still on, but we've found that rubber bands around the top keep the smell at bay. Special thanks to reader "Kevin" in Pittsburgh for the tip. Owe you one, buddy.

3.) The weather: indescribably beautiful. We had a sunset last night that would have made Hitler weep. It was gorgeous.

The fruit flies that blind you if you squish them with your fingers and then rub your eye are back, but other than that, we're doing just great. Hello to all of our many, many friends and family back in the United States mainland. Hope you're keeping it real, and saying "keeping it real" a lot. That's a good way to "keep it real."

Welcome

Welcome to the Birdonnell Family Web Log or "Blog." We've started this website for all of our friends and family members back in the contiguous United States (sorry Canadians, back off). The Birdonnells are, of course, Andrew, Lori and little Landy, as pictured above. Landy's the short one. LOL.

That picture was snapped in front of Saipan's own Hyatt resort and spa, where we had just completed a good old decadent tuck-in courtesy the Greater Garment Manufacturers of Kind-of America. Guh-guh-mah-Kah, that's what Landy calls them. Lori says he has a way with words, but I'm beginning to worry that it's more of a stutter and not a creative quirk. In any event, we're taking the boy to a specialist next week, so we'll see. He still won't take his boots off, week three, so we might have to see about a few specialists.

In any event, Hello to all of our friends and family. We miss you, but we're warmer than you. So don't worry about us. Just keep an eye on your space heaters.
